Decide to Forgive

Forgiveness literally means letting go. Positioning yourself in regard to the event or person in such a way , that they no longer have power over you. Forgiveness doesn't take away the pain or the wound, but it does however clean it so the poison of bitterness and hate have no where to live. Unforgiveness does nothing to the perpetrator of the crime, who is probably oblivious to your pain... but forgiveness means you are bigger than the hurt and will no longer be controlled by it.
